    The Ethical Fashion Initiative has launched RISEMAP in partnership with the supply chain mapping experts, Sourcemap. RISEMAP expands on the Initiative’s impact assessment system and aims to map the complexity of supply chains and visually showcase the production process with data, photos and videos. The Ethical Fashion Initiative has launched maps for several partners.

    L’UE et l’ITC annoncent un partenariat pour renforcer la chaîne de valeur de la mode et soutenir la création d’emplois en Afrique de l’Ouest

    L’Union Européenne (UE) et le Centre du Commerce International (CCI) lancent aujourd’hui un projet de 10 million d’euros pour soutenir la création d’emplois dans la chaine de valeur de la mode et de l’aménagement d’intérieur en Afrique de l’Ouest. Le projet est financé par le fonds fiduciaire d’urgence de l’UE pour l’Afrique et sera mis en oeuvre par l’Ethical Fashion Initiative du CCI.

    EU x ITC launch announce partnership to strengthen fashion value chain & boost job creation in West Africa

    The European Union (EU) and the International Trade Centre (ITC) today announced a €10 million project to support increased job creation in the ethical fashion and design value chains in West Africa. The project, which is supported through the EU’s Emergency Trust Fund for Africa, is part of a wider international effort to address root causes of migration from Africa to Europe and elsewhere, and to create economic opportunities in developing countries.

    In December 2015, The International Trade Centre formalised the handover of its Ethical Fashion Initiative hub in Nairobi to a group of local private investors, Amalgamated Chama Limited. In the handover, the hub was renamed Ethical Fashion Artisans EPZ Ltd and Robin MacAndrew is the appointed Managing Director.
