You can also support the work of our social enterprise partners by shopping the collections we help brands produce, by shopping Hands of Fashion — the brand owned by our Kenyan social enterprise partners — and by generally engaging in more conscious consumption, especially when it comes to fashion. Ask more questions about how your clothes are made, where they come from and who is impacted by the whole process. Keeping the conversation around responsible fashion alive helps power change with a domino effect that travels up the value chain.

Our social enterprises try to build long-term relationships with established global brand partners rather than producing one-off collections, because relatively high minimum order quantities (MOQs) are often needed to ensure a positive and substantive impact on the lives of artisans, micro-producers, and their communities. Please sign up for our newsletter and follow us on social media to be the first to know when we launch special projects that independent designer brands can get involved in.
At present we have active projects and established social enterprise partners in in Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Haiti, Kenya, Mali, Uganda, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, with a new project launching in Lesotho in 2026. We are working hard to make these projects sustainable and are not currently able to support other projects. If your organisation is able to provide support in these countries, Please contact us by emailing <span style=”font-weight: bolder;”> efashion@intracen.org.</span>
