2018 – PRESENT

Côte d’Ivoire

In Côte d’Ivoire, EFI works with communities in rural areas to promote economic development, where money earned from this weaving of their traditional Pagne Baulé brings economic stability to regions where there are high levels of migration.

Through EFI’s social enterprise partners Studio 4 and support from CABES in Burkina Faso, capacity is being constructed in these communities in the effort to enable them to start producing goods for the international market.

Work in Côte d’Ivoire has expanded to include development of creative talent through the Designer Accelerator and Opportunities Are Here, an innovative virtual TV/radio show. The European Union supports EFI activities in Côte d’Ivoire through the Identity Building and Sharing Business Initiative.

Studio 4 is EFI’s social enterprise partner in Côte d’Ivoire, working alongside the Bomizambo Weaving Cooperative
