After a successful two series of this charismatic, informative interview show that featured fashion industry insiders including Li Edelkoort, Hirofumi Kurino and Virgil Abloh, The Ethical Fashion Podcast is back! And this time, it’s all about sustainability and ESG. How can brands lift their game on the biggest topic for the industry?
For Series 3, hosts Simone Cipriani, UN officer and founder of the Ethical Fashion Initiative, and fashion journalist Clare Press are seeking out industry insights from thought leaders and experts, who are doing the work.
From the importance of ESG frameworks and measuring climate and biodiversity impacts, to the challenges of ensuring supply chains are free from modern slavery, they’re getting to the bottom of what’s driving the sustainability conversation right now:

Says Simone Cipriani: ‘The sustainability conversation is evolving at a faster pace than ever before. We have incredible access to industry thought leaders and experts, both with our own partners and collaborators and beyond, so we wanted to bring their insights to as broad an audience as possible.”
“In May, we launched our ESG Due Diligence Framework, and September saw the Ethical Fashion Initiative partner with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana on their inaugural Sustainability Awards at Milan Fashion Week, so it’s fitting that our first guest this series is Carlo Capasa, chairman of CNMI.”
Says Clare Press: “Podcasts are my favourite way to learn about tricky topics. There’s so much information out there on sustainability, it can be overwhelming. This format makes it easier to relate – it’s a very different experience from, say, reading a report. You can’t beat listening to someone like Nicole Rycroft from Canopy Planet humanise the story of deforestation, or Auret van Heerden talk about how his own journey to social justice work, to get a deeper understanding of these complex issues.”
