How can I become involved with/support the initiative?
We regularly update our social media accounts with information on new projects, events and brand partnerships. Follow our Instagram and Facebook to stay updated on our activities around the world.
As a consumer, the best way to engage with our programme is to become a fashion activist. Put pressure on brands to become transparent in disclosing how and where their clothes are produced, and the societal/environmental impact that this production has. Demand that workers are paid a living wage. Join the Fashion Revolution and ask brands ‘Who Made My Clothes?’. And of course, if you can, buy a product from one of our brand partners that has been produced with the EFI, click here for more info.
I am looking for an internship/volunteer experience, do you have any positions available?
At present, we do not offer volunteer work positions in any of our international projects. A regularly updated list of internships at the ITC headquarters in Geneva can be found through this link, as well as details on how to apply.
I would like to join the EFI team, are there any vacancies available?
The Ethical Fashion Initiative is a programme of the International Trade Centre (ITC). Vacancies in the programme together with details on how to apply are advertised on the ITC job portal, which can be found by clicking here.
I have a fashion label and would like to work with the Ethical Fashion Initiative, how do I go about doing this?
Our social enterprises tend to have high MOQ’s to ensure that orders produced have an impact on the communities they work with. We want to ensure that every order positively and substantially impacts the lives of the artisans. For this reason, we work to build long-term relationships with our brand partners, and prefer not to do once-off collections. These requirements often prevent us from being able to work with smaller and newer brands. If you would like to enquire about producing with us, please fill out the contact form below.
Can you put me in touch with your network of artisans?
Our social enterprises in Nairobi, Ouagadougou, Port au Prince and Kabul co-ordinate the activities of our network of artisans. They liaise with brands and take care of logistical matters. If you would like to explore working with our social enterprises please fill out the contact form below, providing details on your brand and what you would like to produce.
